We just finished an amazing camp this past week. Best Days of Summer was a great adventure for not only the campers but for the high school students and the adult leaders as well. Our church served 50 young people from 3rd grade to going into 6th grade. Many were from the community of Maple Valley.
The campers learned about God’s amazing love for us. After the first day we had phones calls from parents wanting to know if their camper could bring a friend the next day. We had a camper not want to stay for the overnight only to return a few moments later with sleeping bag and a pillow in hand wanting to know if it was okay for him to change his mind. He stayed and was very happy he did!
I had the privilege of seeing our high school students and CM Interns build relationships with the campers. They spent time in prayer and play with them. I saw them spending time with them in the classroom teaching them memory verses and talking more about the relationship we all have with our Lord and Savior. What a great gift they gave to them – their time and energy! We are very blessed at MVPC to have the privilege of rising up the next generation! I am here to tell you they get it and are hearing the call to share the good news!
The highlight of the week was a hike led by none other than Pastor David. The kids love seeing Pastor David out of the church and in a different way. Pastor Brian also hiked with us. It is wonderful for these campers to see the pastors take time from their schedule and put value into them. The kids loved it! I had several parents from campers that do not attend MVPC comment about the fact that our pastors took the time to do the hike. Again MVPC is serving Maple Valley!

It was an amazing week! Thank you for giving us the privilege of hanging out with some great kids! Your support for this ministry is so vital to the call Christ gave us!
